DTU Environment DTU has a well established laboratory infrastructure with 9 laboratory sections:

1.  Biotechnology laboratory (180 m2)
2.  Microbiology laboratory incl. molecular microbiology (140 m2)
3.  Ecotoxicology laboratory (80 m2)
4.  Chromatography laboratory (240 m2)
5.  Metal & TOC laboratories (140 m2)
6.  Chemical laboratory (140 m2)
7.  Isotope laboratory (50 m2)
8.  Physical sediment laboratory (60 m2 + 80 m2)
9.  Field laboratory (100 m2)

All laboratories have been newly renovated according to modern standards. Each laboratory has a responsible technician. DTU Environment have a Head of Laboratories, Hanne Bitten Rasmussen with the responsibility for the human resources of 18 permanent staff technicians. The technicians are specialised according to different laboratories. Each of the technicians has a deputy among the other technicians.
