Study opportunities abroad for DTU students
DTU Environment encourages all environmental engineering students to study abroad for a minimum of one semester during their studies at DTU.
How can you satisfy our degree requirements while you are away?
We are very flexible about study plans for students who wish to study abroad because we want to encourage students to go. This means that we are flexible about approving courses at other universities as being equivalent to required DTU courses. For example, one of the general competence (compulsory) courses in the MSc degree is 12237 Chemicals in the Environment. If you can find a MSc course at the exchange University that involves chemistry with an environmental focus, then you can get credit for it. Most Universities have such courses. If in doubt then ask the BSc or MSc program coordinators for help.
Where can you study?
-
Students can enroll in the 1:1 MSc program in Environmental Engineering with TU Munich (see 1:1 Program at TU Munich). This program involves 1 year of study at TU Munich and 1 year at DTU.
-
The Department of Environmental Engineering offers a double MSc degree program in Environmental Engineering called eNviro5Tech in collaboration with the Nordic Five Tech alliance of Scandinavian Technical Universities. The program is of two years duration with students completing one year at DTU and one each University. Students obtain two MSc degrees, one from each institution.
Students can study for 6 months at an international University as part of an approved exchange program.
The following programs are recommended:
-
MSc in Environmental Engineering at TU Munich
-
Environmental Engineering at EPFL (Lausanne, Switzerland)
