DTU Environment establishes approximately 20 to 30 new collaboration projects annually with the public sector (i.e. central government, regions and municipalities) or private companies (Consultants entrepreneurs, industry). The projects take the form of research and development, reviews, and quality assurance.

DTU Environment often contributes its own resources to collaborative projects. Collaborative partners maintain ownership and rights to results generated, including the right to publish the results. DTU Environment normally uses DTU’s standard conditions for co-financed Collaborative Projects.
