About the research group
Urban Water Management focuses on facilitating that (i) urban water volumes and flows are handled to ensure flood control and utilization of urban water resources in support of sustainable urban development, that (ii) the pollution content is controlled via a combination of source control and (multi-scale) treatment to enhance environmental quality and safeguard human health, and that (iii) innovative management tools and schemes are developed that allow implementation of the above considering environmental, economic and social context.
The main focus is on management of stormwater, but wastewater and greywater, drinking water and even surface and ground waters are also considered when relevant.
